Professor Jason Harrington of the Communication Arts Department has had great success with his latest film “The Tree With The Lights In It.” It has been accepted at several film festivals and won a number of awards, including Best Animation at the DIGit Media Exhibition at the Delaware Arts Alliance film festival and Best Experimental Film at the 10 or Less film festival in Portland, OR, and the Oregon Merit Award at the 2D or NOT 2D Animation Festival.

At the Delaware Arts Alliance film festival, the film was shown in the “Best of DIGit 2007” screening. It was also in the San Francisco gallery Studio27 Impure Cinema: Hybrid Works Rupturing Media Boundaries and Digifestival 2007, as well as in the gallery’s online film competition and cable TV program“The Tree With The Lights In It” will be screened at the Somewhat North of Boston film festival (SNOB) in Concord, NH, November 11, and it has recently been accepted into the Red Rock Film Festival and the Anchorage International Film Festival.
