Operatic Opulence with Dominique Labelle and Friends

The FSC community enjoyed a rare musical opportunity February 28 in the Heineman Center. Internationally acclaimed soprano Dominique Labelle brought several of her friends to campus to perform in the Arts and Humanities program.

She was joined by tenor Frank Kelley, mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy, and pianist James Busby in a varied program of solos, duets, and ensemble pieces by composers ranging from Purcell, Mozart, and Verdi to Bernstein. Above, Labelle, left, sings a duet with Murrihy.

Labelle invited her husband, Arts & Humanities Director and tenor Mark Evans, to  join her in singing a duet by Bizet.
